About Us

MDC was formed in 1989 when a young Mel Davison, who was a qualified joiner working for local contractors, decided to set up his own construction company with his wife Paula Davison. They were already receiving work from contractors so work at the start wasn't a problem, although with Mel and Paula's hard work the company grew and it wasn't long until he was forced to employ others to cope with the workload.

After a long, hard trek MDC was awarded with a small routine maintenance contract with the N.I.H.E in 1997, and after some sterling work which was witnessed by the N.I.H.E. they awarded MDC with a COT (Change of Tenancy) contract which includes joinery, plumbing and electrical work in Antrim.

Once again MDC was awarded for its superior work with another major contract from N.I.H.E., the Construction Excellence Contract (EGAN).

Due to the recognition of MDC's quality of work, more staff were required to deal with the new influx of work so the company which originally started off with only two employees has slowly risen to a workforce of over 150.

MDC has earned a reputation of not only using the best quality of materials available but giving the best service to its customers with its superior craftsmanship evident in any work carried out.

We can be relied on for:

  • Integrity
  • Honesty
